CrÈme Brûlée French Toast
Going out for a pricey brunch every weekend can add up! Why not stay in, invite some friends over and show off your mad cooking skills? We have your back with this delicious and extremely impressive Crème Brûlée French Toast recipe that will knock the socks of your brunch guests.
The best part about this recipe is that you can do all the hard work the night before and cook in the morning! This leaves you more time to sip on those mimosas and catch up with friends!
What you need:
1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 loaf of French bread cut into slices
1 1/2 cups of cream
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. orange extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1. Melt the butter and brown sugar in a sauce pan until smooth. Next, spread the mixture out evenly in a lightly greased pan (18"X13"X1").
2. Cover the pan with the French bread slices.
3. Beat eggs, mix in cream, maple syrup, vanilla & orange extract and salt. Pour mixture over each slice of bread. Cover and let it sit in the fridge overnight.
4. The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Next, sprinkle the bread with cinnamon and bake for 25 minutes. Flip the bread over and broil until the tops become a golden brown colour
5. Eat & enjoy!
